VISAS - The number
of visas is reduced from 14 to 5 kinds. As a result some of the categories
have been eliminated and new categories of visas have been introduced. The following procedures are applicable for tourists aboard cruise ships calling at the ports of Oman: 1st) There shall be no visa charges for tourists aboard ships whose stay does not exceed 24 hours. 2nd) If their stay exceeds 24 hours a sum of RO2/= shall be charged per passenger aboard. The shipping companies should coordinate with the Directorate-General of Passports and Residence, Royal Oman Police to obtain these visas. 3rd) Passengers aboard cruise ships can, if they wish, depart from the Sultanate of Oman to their onward destinations via air or land routes. - Persons
on the list of countries attached may obtain visas upon arrival at Seeb
International Airport (if arriving by air) or at any of the sea ports
(if arriving aboard a ship). The above
facilities are not applicable to Israeli nationals.
- Express
business visa charges are reduced to RO7/- and multiple visas shall be
issued at RO10/-. These visa charges are applicable for all nationals
