The Directorate General for Planning & Follow-up is entrusted with the drafting of the Ministry's general plans and policies, preparation of the Ministry's proposals for the five-year plan and development budgets, evaluation and follow-up of plans and their periodic appraisal, preparation of research, studies and reports, analysis of different statistical data and the most important economic indicators, organization of the work of committees and councils, follow-up the Sultanate's agreements and foreign relations as to trade, tourism, industry and mining.
