| PROSPECTING
PERMIT These permits are granted for the exploration of unknown specific minerals/minerals. For obtaining such permits applicants are required to submit applications in the prescribed form. Other details are given below: Application - In the prescribed form - Fee - Area applied for should be defined on a location map of the area. - Mention the mineral/minerals for which the prospecting permit is applied for - Detailed program of exploration initially for one year period along with the know how available, financial status, past experience in work of similar nature Area Not Defined Duration Initially for one year. Renewable for another year on satisfactory performance of the applicant. Fee Payable - Application Fee RO 25.000 - Prospecting Permit Fee RO 50.000 Prospecting Permit Holder Responsibilities - To submit quarterly progress report that will include comprehensive data on prospecting Permit operation. - To report on expenditures and employment - To report on the result of geological/geophysical/geochemical or any other investigations. Rights of Prospecting Permit Holder - Enter into the permit area and prospect for such mineral/minerals as are defined in the p.permit - construct on any unoccupied land a temporary camp site and such temporary structures and work necessary for the operation. - construct access roads or airstrips - Dig plots, trenches and other prospecting excavations and drill exploratory bore holes - Take and remove such samples of soils, rocks and other minerals in the permit area necessary for proper evaluation of any mineral occurrence found.
